Battle of the Century : Lee Chong Wei v Lin Dan, What we can learn from them as traders?

“Remain calm when things go bad.”

We have seen many athletes performed in Rio 2016. All are without a doubt superbly talented. But there is ONE thing that separates them from athletes to gold medal winners is the ability to remain calm when things go bad. Sport is too about a game of mental toughness.  As traders, what we can learn is to remained calm like Lee Chong Wei did in this semi final match.

If you had solid trading plans, keep calm and follow them. After all, market fluctuates and as long as market did not trigger your cut loss yet, keep calm. Also do not take unnecessary risks by piling on trades, as you might expose yourself to market traps.

DOW JONES 30 (道琼市)

The Dow last week only managed to go as high as 18, 722. However the bears soon taken temporary control and hence the Dow closed lower at 18,552. Based on latest price action, it seems the bears created a strong resistance at 18,600 and I expect the Dow to start a downtrend if prices stays below 18,600 and EMA 8-EMA 13 forms a deadly cross. First downtrend target at 18,330, which is more likely to be reached this week. Second downtrend target at 18,100.

道琼市在上星期只上涨到最高18，722而已。之后熊市们在18，600成功反攻而制造相当强的阻力点。笔者看好道琼市在这星期会有下跌趋势，只要价格低于18，600，还有EMA 8和EMA 13死亡交叉。第一个下跌目标为18，330，第二目标是18，100。

FKLI (吉隆坡综合指数期货)

FKLI did stayed above 1,685 and had an uptrend towards our first uptrend target 1,695 last week, as correctly anticipated in our 15 to 19 Aug weekly outlook. However, based on latest price action, there is quite a number of sellers set up a strong resistance at 1,695-1700 zone. I believe FKLI will have a healthy retracement down towards 1,679 this week. A strong downtrend could be seen if prices then breaks below 1,679 and EMA 8 and EMA 13 forms a deadly cross. New downtrend target then will be 1,670.

FKLI的确在上星期有在1，685以上，有上涨趋势，并且上涨到我们第一目标1，695，真如15 to 19 Aug weekly outlook所预测。依照最新日线price action 图表，看来有许多卖家在1，695-1700点制造强大的阻力点。笔者看好这星期FKLI会有回调到1，679点。如果之后价格低于1，679，还有EMA8和EMA13死亡交叉，FKLI会下跌到1，670点。

FCPO (原棕油期货)

FCPO did had an uptrend last week, as correctly anticipated in 15 to 19 Aug weekly outlook. FCPO rallied and hit our second target 2,618, a 91pt or RM2,275 point gains per contract. However, based on latest price action, sellers set up a strong resistance at 2,600 zone. I expect FCPO to have a healthy retracement towards 2,510 this week if prices stay below 2,600. If prices then breaks this 2,510 zone and EMA 8 and EMA 13 forms a deadly cross, I see FCPO to have a downtrend towards 2,460.

FCPO上星期的确有上涨趋势，真如15 to 19 Aug weekly outlook所预测。FCPO上涨91点到我们第二目标2，618。根据最新日线PRICE ACTION图表，卖家在2600点成功制造相当强的阻力点。笔者看好FCPO会在这星期有回调到2，510，如果价格保持2，600以下。如果之后，价格低过2，510，还有EMA8和EMA13死亡交叉，FCPO会下跌到2，460。
